Four words represent the heart of my counseling focus while working with adults and couples for over 25 years. These words are: Hurts, Habits, Home and Heaven. 1) HURTS are past or recent wounds that a person needs help and healing from; 2) HABITS are repetitive and unwanted emotions, thoughts and activities that control a person; 3) HOME represents our most important relationships between partners, spouses and friends, but where confusion, conflict and disconnection can occur; and 4) HEAVEN represents the importance of one's faith in God for finding love, direction, and assurance that we matter in this life and beyond.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, empathetic, kind, and collaborative. My goal is for clients to feel safe, supported, heard, and understood. I believe that the therapeutic process of change includes the following: an understanding of feelings and behaviors, developing healthy coping skills, feeling connected to others, and maintaining balance and moderation in life.

I once read a story about a sea lion that somehow ended up in a barren desert. It was dry and parched and the closest thing resembling the sea was a mud puddle. He was sad and lost and knew he didn't belong, but he had been there so long and knew of nothing else, so he considered it "home". Too often, we find ourselves like this sea lion, living an unfulfilling existence, or in surroundings that aren't consistent with who we are. We passively accept our lot in life or sabotage efforts to live with passion and joy.

I work with Adults, Teens, Couples, and Families. I am trained in EMDR and Air Network for PTSD and Trauma Therapy and help individuals heal and remove obstacles from past painful experiences which may be hindering their life and relationships. In addition, I help couples regain intimacy, resolve conflict, and find renewed friendship and enjoyment. I have training and experience and care for those with addictions and mental health issues; Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, OCD, etc. I also have a formal master's level Christian ministry education and will integrate these values for all those that desire this focus.

One goal together in therapy is to raise your awareness about why you do what you do. As we become more conscious we can make better choices and we function better in our lives. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and have practiced for the past 5 years. Most of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, or where they are in their lives. I believe our adult behaviors are guided by things we can be unconscious about.

I am excited about the training I have as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist to use extremely safe and effective medicine like Ketamine. I use oral doses of Ketamine to facilitate a more enhanced therapy experience. Ketamine as a tool in the therapy session helps my clients feel more confident and at ease while facing challenging parts of their history.

Getting to know Ben Twogood Individuals, couples, families, and adolescents work with Ben to change the narrative of their lives to become the people that they want to be. As a therapist, Ben treats clients from a strengths-based perspective, and he tailors his therapeutic approach to each individual patient utilizing psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, narrative and mindfulness-based techniques based in a family systems framework. Ben uses his 20+ years working with human services organizations to support and help clients navigate community services and systems.

Meredith is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in the treatment of trauma with clients of all ages. Meredith is a compassionate clinician, committed to bringing humanness into therapy through humor, meaningful processing, and connection. Her advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a powerful tool in healing our mind and body from past experiences, building resilience, and taking steps towards the life we want to be living.

I believe that every individual has unique strengths and capabilities that can be tapped into to overcome challenges. I view distress as a normal part of the human experience and believe that it is through facing and working through difficult emotions that leads to true growth and healing. I have a deep appreciation for the idea that our experiences shape who we are, and I am passionate about helping clients explore and make sense of their past to better understand themselves and move forward in a healthy way. enna Hennen completed her MA in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of St. Thomas and received her B.A.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Minnesota. She is working towards her license through the state of Minnesota as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Jenna has experience working with adults and couples, as well as children, adolescents, and their families through a range of situations. By using an empathetic, non-judgmental approach that utilizes client’s strengths and finding creative solutions, clients have experienced healing in areas of their lives.
