Since 2007 I’ve been working in the mental health field in a variety of roles which have enriched my clinical practice. I have been incredibly inspired by working with adolescent and young adults navigate the challenges of childhood & current life circumstances.

I work to help adults, children and couples make adjustments in their lives so they are more comfortable and in control of their behaviors and emotions. I have a genuine desire to get to know my clients and understand the difficulties they are experiencing. My therapy combines psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches. I have particular interests helping people who are dealing with issues of depression, anxiety, health concerns, relationship problems, parenting difficulties, substance abuse, ADHD or school performance. Along with work as a psychologist, I have worked as a special education teacher which enhances my understanding of special needs children.

Jade loves working with people who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, fear around death and dying, and specifically specializes in supporting people who are moving through traumatic forms of grief. She will strive to help you heal trauma, integrate losses, amplify joy in moments of despair, and work to uncover ways to honor the life lived. Jade also enjoys working with deconstructing (and possibly reconstructing) faith or spirituality. Jade supports all religions, no religion, and spiritual-but-not-religious.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in 2011. I work with children, teens, women, couples, and families. I enjoy helping people with a variety of topics, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parent-teen conflicts, spiritual issues, and women's issues. I am DBT-trained, EMDR-certified, and I also use CBT. I take a collaborative approach with clients and integrate faith into counseling when desired. I also specialize in treating Third-Culture Kids (TCKs), as this is part of my personal experience.

I enjoy working with children, adults and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or parenting issues. I also work with couples who are struggling with communication, infidelity or other relationship conflict. My clients described me as supportive, and encouraging. I use cognitive behavioral therapy methods as well as insight oriented therapy to help clients develop and grow. I like to use the metaphor of a lotus flower to describe life's path. The flower is deeply rooted in the bottom of the rivers and ponds where it survives.

I have been a mental health therapist for 16 years, Registered Play Therapy Supervisor, Qualified Supervisor for LMFT/LMHC in FL and Approved Supervisor for LMFT, LPC and LPCC in MN and am EMDR trained. I provide therapy services for people as young as 5 years old though adulthood.
