I help couples and families work through a variety of challenges. Difficulties with communication, emotional connectedness, child misbehavior, infidelity, and life transitions, among others. If your goals are to improve the quality of your relationships, create healthier patterns of behavior, support your loved ones while also receiving support, we might be a good fit. Despite living in the age of the internet with all of its opportunities for connection, more people feel isolated than ever before. In working with me, I hope to grow your sense of belonging, security, and significance to those valued people in your life.

As a Performance Coach/Hypnotherapist, I have had the unique opportunity to work with individuals at various stages of their own personal development. Everyone has their own personal struggles which, when not healthfully processed, can hold them back from reaching their full potential. However, once someone successfully processes the thoughts/feelings associate with these struggles, they begin a new life trajectory full of endless possibilities. Clients then begin to use this newfound understanding of self, as well as a deep realization of what their own personal strengths are, to create their ideal life.

On the outside you look like you've got it completely together, but inside you're struggling. Perhaps you are self-critical, disconnected from others, or stuck in a job that is not the right fit. Or maybe you are enduring a painful dynamic in your relationship with your romantic partner, parent, child, friend, or co-worker. If any of these resonate, self-exploration can help you discover the root cause of your shame, loneliness, disconnection, existential angst, and stagnation. With help, you can cultivate a kinder relationship with yourself, deeper connections with others, and a more meaningful life at work and beyond.

My clinical practice is based in positive psychotherapy, strengths-based psychology, existential philosophy, and I have formal training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused-CBT.
I work with clients ages 12 and up. I have special passions for treating folks struggling with disordered eating patterns, negative self talk, symptoms of post traumatic stress, self harm, and suicidal ideation: if you feel like life isn't worth living, I want to explore that with you. Instead of shutting it down, let's built a life you DO experience as worth living. As a transgender and autistic therapist I love to work with clients looking to explore and process gender, sexual orientation, and/or neurodivergence.

Mindfulness and the power of relationship are core elements of my work while also using narrative, existential, and ACT interventions.
I believe that healing is a highly unique journey that takes courage, curiosity, and acceptance, but frankly, it looks just a little bit different for everyone. Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in working with individuals navigating life transitions whether that is college, graduate school, becoming a parent, significant relationship changes, grief and loss, or career related shifts. Oftentimes we can feel overwhelmed, disengaged, anxious, and uncertain about what is yet to come amidst all this change. You are ready for something different, you are ready to live a more fulfilling and connected life.

My goal is to provide empathetic, creative problem-solving, and dynamic counsel to those who find themselves both stressed and depressed by the circumstances of the life they are living -- both alone and in relationship with others. This is not about "mental illness" or behavioral change alone. This is about providing a caring, non-judgmental and trained ear to those in need of someone to hear them, offer a new perspective of looking at things and creating new proactive approaches to life's problems. This is for those who may be apprehensive about therapy, but need to converse with a non-judgmental, objective listener.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! It takes such courage to take that step into vulnerability and begin to work toward change and growth. To explore pain points and be vulnerable with others can be challenging, but so rewarding. My passion is to partner with those I work with to help them heal from trauma, renew their joy for life, find their authentic selves, and reach their goals in health and wellness. My approach is non-judgmental, open-minded, and focused on instilling hope and confidence. I believe in acceptance, embracing small changes, and taking things one day at a time.

If you want to move beyond depression or anxiety and also live from your depths, the therapy I offer may be a match for you. I provide Jungian psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, and dream therapy. A great advantage of this approach is that it's interesting. I can help you understand what's happening in your unconscious mind. Once you have this deeper insight, you can better understand both your potential, and the barriers that keep you stuck.

Are you tired of therapists who say that they do relationship therapy only to have you practice basic communication skills? Are you tired of the lack of progress and want to get unstuck once and for all? I specialize in making sure that time does continue to pass by while you are feeling weighed down in the status quo. I'm straightforward and honest. My clients describe me as annoyingly neutral when they try to get me to take sides against their partners. They also describe me as willing to ask the hard questions and willing to keep people accountable. I love helping people navigate every stage of coupling or uncoupling.

Existential Therapists

How does existential therapy work?

Existential therapy focuses on a patient’s inner experiences. The therapist tries to help the individual comprehend and alleviate symptoms by exploring their interior life. By confronting negative disquiet and emotions, the individual will hopefully become more open to finding meaning and purpose. This therapy can be administered to individuals or groups.

Is existential therapy evidence-based?

Existential therapy is an evidence-based practice. Research has determined that existential therapy can lead to significant improvement in the mental health of patients, and for some people it can be just as effective as cognitive behavioral therapy. The benefits of existential therapy are enduring, even long after treatment has ended.

How long does existential therapy last?

The goal of existential therapy is to understand a person’s internal experiences, which may sound like a lengthy process, but it does not have to be so in-depth. However, sessions are not short-term, and therapy can continue for months or up to a year. And because patients learn the theory behind existential therapy during treatment, they can also practice its tenets throughout life after therapy sessions have been completed.

Is existential therapy effective?

According to research, many patients find success with existential therapy. Researchers note that the therapy is particularly useful in improving feelings of isolation, feelings of purposelessness, as well as conditions such as anxiety and depression. Improvements in problem areas can persist even after the end of existential therapy, as individuals can continue working on themselves by using the tools they’ve developed during treatment.
