My perspective in my work is to figure out how to meet people at where they are at. I am compassionate and will try to find humor in any situation. I have experience working with children and adolescents with ASD, anxiety, depression, and self harm. I was a behavioral therapist at Minnesota Autism Center and then worked at Prairie Care inpatient hospital as a psychiatric technician and group facilitator. I love to see the effort that people put in their own treatment like trying out new activities. I will be your cheerleader.

I offer behavioral interventions for insomnia and other sleep disorders that are more effective and durable than medication.
Many people struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety or insomnia. Others have difficulty in relationships, are dissatisfied with work or face serious health challenges. And many others struggle to adapt to life changes, or simply feel discouraged or unhappy. I work collaboratively with my clients to target the issues most challenging to them and use evidence-based approaches to improve those problems. I believe that developing a strong relationship with my clients provides the essential base from which sustainable change can be achieved. I am PsyPact certified and can practice telepsychology in those states.

I enjoy working with individuals who are interested in improving their emotional, psychological, and physical health. Often times, stressors and demands can take a toll on your emotional and physical health and lead to anxiety, depression, anger, and physical consequences, such as problems with sleep and eating. I believe that the use of cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and interpersonal interventions are useful in this process. I also strive to build a genuine therapeutic relationship that helps you to feel supported and safe as you explore areas of concern and work toward growth and healing.

Available to work with any individual or couple in Minnesota, I approach therapy with a deeply empathetic and a client-centered focus. My interests lie in trauma and grief, anxiety and depression, and life transitions. When left unattended, these issues can snowball into more problems that can affect your ability to show up as the best version of yourself. You may find you've been experiencing disordered eating, relational issues, sexual health fluctuations, diminished self worth, and/or sleep disorders. Therapy can help!

Anxiety, sleep, postpartum, couples therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), life adjustments, self esteem and self identity, social anxiety, anger management, chronic pain, grief and loss, compassion fatigue and more.
I have been in the Mental Health field for almost 20 years specializing in individual, children, families and couples therapy. Often people seek therapy when they feel stuck. Sometimes it takes a unbaised voice to put new persepctive into your thought process. Are you experiencing a change in career, a loss of a relationship, parenting difficulties, social anxiety or low self esteem? Do you overthink situations, feel misunderstood or judged? Have you even said, " I know why, but can't seem to change." Knowledge alone without application of daily skills cannot create lasting change.

I specialize in working with individuals with symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, sleep issues, trauma, isolation, disordered eating, anger, and grief.
I work with an amazing team at ALL IN Therapy that approaches treatment from a holistic mindset. Working nine-to-five doesn't mean there isn't time to prioritize your mental health. I'm a "night-owl therapist" and am available from 11 AM through 9 PM on weekdays. I want to ensure that therapy can integrate seamlessly into your life without disrupting it, whether you work daytime hours, are a student, or just feel more comfortable talking with someone after a long day rather than during it. We'll work together to find ways to manage your concerns so you can find more stability, passion, meaning, and peace in your life.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
