Beginning therapy for the first time or the twentieth can be a scary endeavor. It requires a certain vulnerability -- of allowing yourself to be seen and known by another. Whether you struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, grief, relationship struggles, parenting issues, addiction, or a whole host of other issues, my role is to create an atmosphere of welcome -- a safe and sacred space in which we can explore hurts and fears as well as hopes and dreams for the future. I look forward to walking the journey to your best self and your best relationships with you.

We can all experience so much pain and suffering, when we feel alone or lost in something we are going through, especially when there can be many difficulties in life and often things we cannot control. It can be automatic to think that something is wrong with us, trap things inside, and go through it alone, not trusting others to handle us with kindness and care. I created ENA Counseling to provide personalized care with the needed warmth and attention to help you on your journey, respecting you as your own person, and supporting you with your goals on your terms.

Are you feeling stuck in life? Are you feeling stuck due to outside events beyond your control (work, finances, health, traumatic events, abuse) or perhaps inner conflicts (anxiety, depression, substance abuse)? Are your needs being met emotionally, socially, material and basic needs? Often times we end up feeling "stuck", due to prioritizing ourselves last - and asking ourselves, "How did I get to this place?" My goal is to work myself out of a job with you - your goal is empowerment, joy, liberation and freedom to embrace and live your life as you are meant to.

Sometimes we all feel lost. And yet, we all have an internal guidance system that can help us understand what's important in our lives and how to make choices. My job as a therapist is to help you strengthen that connection between you and your inner knowing. My role is to help you explore and understand yourself better, gently challenge when needed and give you feedback that may help you to find your way. My hope is that after each session, you feel that your needs have have been addressed and that you leave with questions to explore or tools to try out. Change can be difficult and it is my hope that I may support you through it.

I would love to work with clients who have experienced trauma to help them process through their trauma to reduce the amount of mental health symptoms they experience. It is possible to live in a way that these symptoms are drastically reduced and individuals are able to integrate these experiences into the rest of their life experiences. I would love to help clients be able to do this.

I am a clinically certified trauma professional as well as an LPCC and an LADC. I am able to help clients recognize and develop coping skills to help them manage their mental health symptoms and their chemical dependency issues. I am able to help clients recognize where their possible trauma has settled within their body. I assist clients in developing awareness of their minds and body and become more mindful of their whole sense of self. No one wants to suffer and if they are, I am able to help them identify what is causing their suffering and work through it or provide them with the tools to do so once they are on their own.

Do you feel like you have burned bridges or have been cut out of the lives of those you love the most? Maybe you are feeling lost, confused, and lonely. Living with addiction puts us under unusual stress. We take on role of caregiving, the addict, the person who is blamed, and the other who is working to be the hero. These roles are results of a loss of control and hurt all because you care. That you are here.

As your child approaches the door, do you wonder how today went? Do you worry the school will call or that she held it together and will "lose it" at home? Is your child struggling most days? Does he or she have difficulty with managing emotions, focusing, making friends, worries, or fears. Does he or she often look sad or worried? Is your once engaging child withdrawn, angry, or argumentative? You've tried everything you know and are at a loss to help. Does nothing seems to work? Perhaps you feel like a failure as a parent. You don't have to do this alone.

I have found my passion in helping Millennial and Gen Z women who are dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life stressors. I create a non-judgmental space for my clients to show up just as they are. I believe in working collaboratively with clients using humor, validation, and empathy to build a solid connection which then allows for clients to feel safe enough to try explore societal norms and expectations that have prevented them from living their idealized life. In my experience I've found that when clients are able to try out new ways of being they can achieve the healing they've been desiring.

I understand how being non-judgemental and supportive can assist the client in having a safe space for them to explore their emotions. I understand how difficult it can be to seek out help and believe no matter the case, all clients are brave. I believe that not only do my clients learn from me, I also learn from them. At the end of the day, I believe that my clients are the drivers and I am the navigator, I am here to help them get to their destination at their pace. I mainly work with Personality disorders, trauma, self-harm, suicidality, mood disorders, self-direction, and behavior disorders.

To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
