As a therapist, my goal is for my clients to feel heard, understood, valued & respected without fear of judgment. Through meaningful relationships that are built on trust & safety, my mission is to empower individuals to regain a sense of control over their life. I believe that trust, safety, and collaboration are at the core of the therapeutic relationship and are critical to establish in order to begin the healing process.
Although my clients are in control of their therapeutic goals and intentions, I tend to gravitate towards developing skills such as, regulation & co-regulation, mindfulness, grounding, somatic techniques, breathwork and ecotherapy. With my younger clients, I like to integrate play-based and expressive arts activities into our talk-therapy sessions.
Understanding trauma and how it impacts our nervous system is at the foundation of my approach to therapy. Working through a trauma-informed lens has enabled me to create an integrative style of therapy that is holistic in nature, allowing me the opportunity to integrate a wide variety of strategies tailored to the unique need of the client.
