I specialize in working with families who have had, or are going through a divorce or parental separation. Chronic conflict will have a lasting negative effect on you and your children BUT if you are able to manage your emotions and parent successfully, you and your children can thrive in the future. It is important to develop a good coparenting relationship and make sure your children have the support they need to deal with divorce/separation issues. In order to facilitate a positive outcome for families, I provide Coparent Counseling, Family Therapy, Reunification Therapy Group and Individual Therapy (adult and child).

I am president of Alongside Counseling, Inc., a Licensed Professional Counselor engaged in private practice. I have been licensed since 2008 and approved to supervise counselors since 2014 by the state of Missouri; certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors; trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy [EMDR], Emotional Freedom Technique and/or Energy Therapy [EFT] and Dialectical Behavior Therapy [DBT]. I earned Masters of Arts degrees from both Lindenwood University and Covenant Theological Seminary.

Welcome to my practice! My name is Sandy DeAtley, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have 10 years of experience working directly with clients seeking positive change. My approach is always person-centered, and trauma informed. I work towards building a trusting and collaborative relationship with each client so that we can find the best method of treatment tailored to the individual. I have worked with diverse client populations in many walks of life but have the most experience with addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Every individual has experienced internal conflict regarding their mental health. Some of those we navigate just fine on our own and that is awesome! Other times we need some guidance, new ideas on how to effectively communicate, affirmations that we "do hard things", or to have our views on a situation challenged so we can come back with greater understanding and additional empathy.

I am a nationally certified DBT therapist. Dialectical Behavior Therapy is my orientation and specialty. My orientation and personal experiences have inspired me to work toward the treatment of clients struggling with childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiousness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, relationship issues, LGBTQ concerns, NSSI(Self-Injury) and Borderline Personality Disorder.

I needed more than anything to ensure all my pain was not in vain. So, I have over nine years of education in psychology and counseling, specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, stress, ADHD, and Alcohol and Drug Counseling. My passion is to provide kids and adults with the help they need to navigate through difficult times whether it be related to family, school, mental health or substance use. As a licensed specialist clinical social worker, I have experience in a wide variety of support and counseling services, including assessment, crisis intervention, and individual, family and group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. I have conducted anger management and substance abuse evaluations, and I have facilitated group treatment programs.

Along with being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have been a Professional School Counselor for 14 years. I have experience working with school aged children all the way to late adulthood. My approach seems to work very well with a variety of life challenges, especially anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, and life transitions.

Dr. Reschke is a licensed psychologist who works with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and adjustment. Dr. Reschke uses a flexible individualized approach depending on the client and on the presenting issue. Frequently, she employs a cognitive-behavioral and problem-solving approach to assist her clients in developing coping strategies. Dr. Reschke sees clients for both short term therapy to address specific current difficulties, as well as longer term therapy for those clients who are struggling with life-long difficulties and/or prefer a more insight-oriented approach that explores their family of origin.

While there are many challenges to this life, there are also many ways to navigate better, therapy provides the space to learn to cope better, problem solve, heal, get motivated, improve our outlook, find strength and to just be heard.
