I work as a therapist because I believe we can experience real healing in our lives. The broken world in which we live frequently leaves scars and wounds. And we often wound others. As a Christian therapist I believe God heals significantly. I work with Christians and non Christians alike with respect for individual values and beliefs. Therapy begins with developing a respectful, trusting relationship. The client and therapist begin a journey to enable the client to reconcile, their past, their present, and their beliefs. It can enable them to work toward future goals successfully.
I have worked with a variety of clients including pre-teens, adolescents, college aged kids, singles, young marrieds, parents struggling with parenting issues, as well as learning to be parents of adult children as well as marriage issues. I have walked alongside many people grieving loss. I also work with codependency as well as abusive relationships .
I enjoy working with Christians who are struggling with reconciling who God is in their lives with what He says in His Word: helping them work through Christian clichés to a meaningful relationship with the living God. My husband and I have 3 grown adopted children, 7 grandchildren. I would be honored to walk with you.
