First I want to say you have already taken the most important step by admitting you could use help. I appreciate it can be overwhelming so I strongly encourage you to not give up too soon. I specialize in helping individuals through tough transitions. I am experienced helping people who are trying to live their life in a way that fits their goals and values.
My name is Miriam Shabazz and I am a licensed therapist. I have been working in the field for over a decade helping individuals cope with substance abuse, trauma, micro aggressions, transitions, identity and relationship issues. I started this practice because I wanted to use my experience and training to help people live more identity congruent lives.
We live in a society that pushes us to shoulder burdens alone or drown our sorrows in unhealthy ways. Often people only reach out after years of burying trauma and negative emotions. Repressed emotions eventually resurface in uncontrolled ways. You can replace old ways of coping with new ways of living. Please reach out you’ve already taken the first step.
