My clinical specialties focus on anxiety, healing after trauma, gender and sexual identity, and OCD.
I believe each individual has the potential to grow at any age. My ultimate focus in therapy is to not merely eliminate “symptoms” but to increase your fulfillment in life, as defined by you. This means treatment is customized to meet YOUR needs so you can meet your goals. I provide therapy for a variety of clinical disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, & interpersonal difficulties. I am SW-friendly and MAP-informed. I believe in the potential for individual and emotional growth, striving to provide a safe and warm environment in which you can explore and thrive. Therapy is not "one-size-fits all."

I have worked with people suffering from depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship issues, sexual issues, personality disorders, and many more.
I know no one who is "accidentally" in counseling or therapy. Thus, this step and this choice is often quite difficult. I embrace building rapport with my clients in a way that allows us to engage in a collaboration of unique, innovative and effective techniques to overcome the challenges, problems and/or difficulties they are facing, whether in their social, personal, or business life. I take pride in listening to my clients and trying to provide them thoughtful tools they can use long after our sessions are complete.

Over the years I have developed particular interest in working with people with anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, relationship anxiety, professional anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD.
We all get stuck in behavior patterns that aren’t necessarily what we want for ourselves. Really, if we could choose, none of us would struggle with worries, fears, doubts, sadness, or loneliness. We wouldn’t need to try to push away these difficult emotions by engaging in avoidant or even destructive behavior patterns. It’s natural to try and protect ourselves from emotional pain, but the cost is high. Our lives get smaller, more inflexible, less meaningful, and less vital. My goal in working with individuals is to help people open up, live in the present moment, and make choices that are driven by values, rather than fear.

My clinical experience includes working with a range of ages (children, adolescents and adults) and levels of care (outpatient therapy, partial and full day programs) with clients with various concerns including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma.
Life can be difficult at times and finding the right support to help you navigate life’s challenges can make all the difference. I believe it is essential to create a trusting therapeutic relationship in an inclusive and judgment free space so that you feel safe to express yourself and be you. In session, my intention is to provide an attuned listening ear while you share your concerns, thoughts and feelings. Together with curiosity and care, we will unfold past and present experiences and process their impact and meaning. I will encourage you as you gain awareness, insight, learn and grow.

I work primarily with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship distress, obsessive compulsive disorder, and life transitions. My number one goal in therapy is to understand you as best I can, and to help you do the same. Individuals who have some amount of curiosity about themselves and who are willing to self-reflect will do well in this type of therapy. My practice is informed by psychodynamic, relational, and person-centered approaches to therapy. The first step is to build a trusting relationship with you so that you can feel comfortable expressing all the different parts of you.
