Sometimes it can be really challenging to make time for ourselves and for our mental health. For some of us, it's even more difficult when our identities and culture held no space for our feelings or emotions. We may have had to put up with crossed boundaries, invalidated feelings, unrealistic expectations, and conditional love that depended on how much we have accomplished. Those difficult and maybe even traumatic experiences that we, and our families, have lived through may have been written off as "this is just how things are." Although we may want to rest and pause, we instead might begin to feel shame or guilt for doing so.
As your therapist, I'll honor the past and present experiences that make you you. I'll support you in finding growth, healing, and meaningful change in your life. My goal is to support your strengths, reprocess traumatic experiences, help you let go of what no longer serves you, and explore ways to embody the values that mean the most to you.
I believe that healing and transformation are possible when working with the whole self, including the mind, body, and spirit. I'll help you navigate through difficult emotions. I'll support you as you make sense of, and find meaning, from your lived experiences. Together, we can create a therapeutic space for grounding, connection, and healing.

A Space To Rest: Support Group for BIPOC
This is a closed space for folks who are Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of color. This group meets once a week, and is intended to hold space for us to be in community with each other, address our needs, connect over shared experiences, and engage in rest practices. We will be discussing topics that include: finding meaning in our rest, discussing the impact of ongoing social injustices while being in a pandemic, and exploring the intersections of our identity.
