Fluent in Spanish with education, training, and experience in therapy models such as CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), Trauma Focused-CBT, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I selectively integrate a variety of goal-oriented, solution-focused, and person-centered techniques into a uniquely individualized treatment approach for individuals, couples, and families. My multicultural clinical expertise includes treating individuals of all ages for depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, gender dysphoria, sexual identity, adjustment issues, personality disorders, end of life transitioning, and grief.
My training in EMDR Therapy allows me treat an array of PTSD including single-event PTSD, complex PTSD (disorder of extreme stress) and Developmental Trauma Disorder. I counsel adult victims who have experienced sudden traumatic loss, childhood trauma, violent crimes, domestic abuse, addictions, motor vehicle accidents, and veterans of combat.
My approach to multicultural counseling integrates Eastern approaches to mindfulness, Western approaches to spirituality. We all have an "Inner Child" that can explain why that we react in a particular way(s). I will help you find your answers.
