I am Miguel Koschil, MA, LCSW, Ph.D, a bilingual psychotherapist who has been helping various populations for more than 30 years, focusing on depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, loss-grief, self-esteem and relationships problems. I believe that is not always the type of problem or diagnosis that will predict that a treatment will be a successful but rather the level of motivation of the client.
I will provide individual psychotherapy for adults. I currently offer an integrated perspective to therapy applying a client-centered approach in which the individual is the priority. In addition to traditional psychodinamic supportive psychotherapy, I can also make use of other approaches such as DBT and Mindfulness.
Empathy is vital for therapy. I will first build a therapeutic alliance, by understanding client's perspective and projects through a fruitful dialogue. I believe that psychotherapy is an opportunity to grow and I will here to help achieve all your potentials.
