With 20 years’ experience, my core assumption is that each of us has the innate capacity to do all of the following:  feel happy; form close and satisfying relationships with others; manage situations effectively; make good decisions; and even heal from trauma and loss.  However, sometimes that innate capacity gets blocked.  That is when we run into emotional or behavioral problems.  It is my job to help you understand what is blocking your own innate capacity so those blocks can dissolve.
I treat all clients with empathy, understanding, and compassion regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or political beliefs.
I offer a 50-minute consultation free of charge to all new clients.  This is an opportunity for you to describe your mental health concern(s).  Then, I will briefly describe what I would do to help.  This way, you can get some idea of what it would be like to work with me.
