My name is Michelle Perry, and I am an LPC in Colorado. I am also licensed in Nebraska and Iowa. I specialize in trauma, life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, and co-dependency. My approach to therapy is collaborative and I use several different approaches, depending on the needs of the client. These include, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Person Centered, and others. I often work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. Many of my clients have experienced stressful and traumatic experiences, are grieving recent or multiple losses, or are currently going through a life transition of some kind.
My communication style is very laid back. I enjoy using humor when appropriate, and I enjoy connecting with my clients on a human-to-human level. My clients often tell me that I have made them feel seen and heard, sometimes for the first time.
I love being a therapist. I began my career working as a medical social worker and I worked in nursing homes for several years. I then spent 8+ years working in the field of hospice as a social worker and as a bereavement therapist. I love connecting to other humans and working to together for positive changes in their lives.
