I am well versed in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, substance use, domestic violence, and severe mental illness. I am also knowledgeable in women’s issues, grief and loss, personality disorders, self-esteem/self-worth, and life transitions. I believe in a holistic approach towards the treatment of mental health in order to ensure that treatment plans are being addressed from every aspect including mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness. I also believe in providing education on mental health in order to assist others gain an understanding of what they and others may be experiencing.
I utilize a person-centered approach in counseling. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Responsive Treatment, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Informed Care, and Co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.
I am committed to helping others in need through my clinical practice. I enjoy and take pride in assisting people in their healing journey by being able to witness the transformation that can take place once effective coping skills are gained and implemented allowing for mental and emotional stability to occur.
