I am a highly experienced clinical psychologist with over 30 years of clinical and research experience specializing in the treatment of the full range of mood disorders as well as trauma histories. I envision my role as that of an informed, empathic, collaborative guide.
After over 12 years of research experience focused on the treatment of mood disorders at Stanford University and Stanford University School of Medicine, I decided to embark on my private practice career. My work has been enormously gratifying to me and I feel so fortunate to be able to help other people on a daily basis.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my practice is that I work with many underserved populations with a focus on always maintaining cultural knowledge as well as sensitivity. I have strong experience in treating Muslim individuals and others from diverse Middle Eastern countries. I also treat immigrants, bicultural youth, and LGBTQ patients.
