During this pandemic/quarantine, so many people have been affected by loss and grief. My main focus lately has been helping people who are grieving loss. Grief is often a lonely journey, and those who are not grieving wonder why you aren't "over it" yet. People grieve in many ways and heal on their own timetable. I help clients in their grief journey in a way that makes sense to them without judgment or trying to rush them along.
As a widowed woman, I am uniquely qualified to help widowed people who are grieving. Whether you were married for decades, living with your loved one without having been wed, or engaged to be married, if you have lost someone you love, I would like to help.
I teach Choice Theory and use Solution-Focused Therapy with my clients. I often give my clients book references that I've found personally helpful and that my clients have found useful. I use gentle humor and do what I can to help my clients feel comfortable and accepted.
