With 15 years of experience as a clinician and more than 30 years of experience in Christian ministry, I am equipped to deal with a broad spectrum of clients and their unique concerns. My areas of expertise are trauma recovery, depression and anxiety, OCD, grief counseling, marriage issues, and adolescent issues. My passion is to guide individuals and couples through life's hurts and trauma to recovery and healing.
My counseling career began in New Orleans, LA after Hurricane Katrina. I have extensive training in trauma counseling and draw from the modalities of EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, Sand Tray Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am also a trained Prepare/Enrich counselor. My preferred clients are adolescents and adults.
I want to provide a safe refuge for those who have been devastated by one or more of life’s tragic moments. Life is hard. Many people carry around secrets creating so much shame and pain.
