I support adults experiencing a variety of life challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, gender dysphoria, and other day to day life struggles. Proudly serving the LGBTQIA+ community (including letters for gender affirming surgery). I prefer a relaxed environment in which I collaborate with the people I work with to identify their unique treatment needs and approaches. I value open communication in a safe, supportive environment.
Goal setting is always done collaboratively so the client can identify what they want to see different in their lives, what they value, and we come up with actions they can take to move in that direction.
An initial intake session would focus on gathering relevant current and historical information related to the presenting problem, as well as, current and life events, family dynamics, prior treatment, and developing an initial working relationship. We also begin to discuss goal focus and expand on this in a follow up session.
