I am a relationship-based psychotherapist who approaches therapy from a place of collaboration and a belief that we are each the experts on ourselves. I am especially interested in issues of diversity and inclusion, and exploring the impacts of oppression and discrimination on those who feel marginalized. I use a feminist - multicultural lens to create a safe place for exploration, to increase empowerment, and to live a more authentic and satisfying life.
I specialize in working with clients healing from trauma, PTSD, abuse/neglect, relationship issues, body politics/image, religious/faith conflicts, depression, anxiety, sexual/gender/LGBT identity, grief/loss, and life transitions. I am a trauma-informed therapist and I use mindfulness/meditation, Somatic EMDR, and offer psychedelic integration.
In my work over the last 24 years with clients at Rape Recovery Center, Utah State Prison, Hospice, Westminster College, and in my private practice, I consider it a privilege to have been part of the journey with those who have included me on their path to wellness. I consider this sacred work.
