Change can be uncomfortable and scary, especially when it is necessary for personal development and growth. It can feel as if you’re going through the waves alone, but everyone deserves to be heard, seen, and supported. While I believe that these emotions deserve a safe space to be expressed, I also believe that this process should be worked on collaboratively. The therapeutic relationship is a crucial component in my work as a mental health provider, and I recognize the privilege I have of holding your trust with honor.
My approach is a blend of Person-Centered Theory that includes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness Based Therapy. I am passionate about using creative-based methods in my practice and will integrate art-based modalities, when appropriate, in my approach as well.
The first step is asking for help, and although that can be a difficult task in itself, I admire your bravery in being vulnerable to do so. Like I said, change isn’t easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. I am here to help, and I would love to get to know you.
