My name is Michael Tiura and I am a licensed psychologist based in Oakland, CA. I work with clients via telehealth throughout California. I specialize in working with clients of all ages with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism, in addition to building healthy coping strategies. I provide brief, (3 to 6 months) skills-based therapy using techniques from cognitive behavior therapy, positive psychology, and dialectical behavior therapy. My communication style is warm, relaxed, and collaborative. I want clients to feel safe and comfortable while also having a say in what their goals and treatment will look like.
I have found that my approach works best for adults and children in transition or needing help to manage the stresses of daily life. I work best with clients who are motivated to build skills and healthy coping tools for a lifetime. I am here to help you build a balanced life.
