I believe the purpose of therapy is to enhance your quality of life. Sometimes that means addressing a particular crisis or period of emotional distress. I have worked in mental health for over fifteen years with training and experience in research supported treatments for managing the symptoms of anxiety and depression. This includes specialized training in treating trauma survivors and those struggling with addictive/compulsive behaviors. I will tailor these skills to the changes you want to make.
Our first conversation may be the culmination of what’s already been a difficult process. It might have involved conversations with loved ones, suffering in silence, or an internal battle about "why I can't just get over this".
