After receiving my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, I worked as a psychologist at a variety of settings in Maryland, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Prior to opening this independent practice, I spent 10 years working at Integrated Behavioral Care (IBC), a group practice in Summit, NJ. Before joining IBC, I spent 20 years in charge of psychological services at Morristown Medical Center's Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute. I have also been an adjunct assistant professor at New York University, and have taught at the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington, DC.
I am interested in doing individual psychotherapy with adults. I see psychotherapy as an opportunity to study your life. Treatment provides an experience in which you look honestly at where you have been, where you are now, and what it is that you hope to accomplish in the future.
One important purpose of treatment is to identify repetitive problems that keep a person "stuck," and then work toward developing strategies to overcome these obstacles. Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to develop a greater sense of awareness about the profound impact of early life experiences, as you work toward bringing more pleasure into your life.
