Do you or someone you love have to get sober, but struggles? Do others not understand why this is difficult, and sometimes impossible? I realize that when trying to get sober, it is important to have someone in your corner who can understand that you truly want to stop using, but just can't by yourself. My focus is a) combine our efforts to get started in sobriety, and b) learn and practice research proven coping skills to get past those overwhelming emotions in a supportive, accountable, non-threatening environment.

I was affectionately referred to by a recent client of mine, "The Master of Tough Love". It is not meant to be rude, but to the point, yet empathic. I have been practicing dual diagnosis treatment for 18 years and substance abuse since 1997. I combine DBT and 12-step models to deal with both substance issues and mental health struggles simultaneously.

My form of treatment is offered in very few places, because I am one of a very select group able to focus on substance abuse and mental health treatment simultaneously! Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program

This Dual Diagnosis Program is meant to help adults 18 and over, specifically with both chemical dependency and mental health conjoint diagnoses. The goals are to teach clients how to maintain sobriety, along with learning and practicing important life skills to offset strong emotional responses that occur as a result of being sober, in a setting that is supportive and stable. Please call Michael Pollak at the number above for an initial assessment. Note: Monday and Wednesday's groups are from 6 pm to 9 PM and Saturday's group is from 10 AM to 1 PM.
