My name is Michael Olsen. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with individuals, couples, and families who could benefit from support with a variety of experiences and difficulties. I use a cognitive Behavioral and Relational approach to therapeutic services to support my clients in progressing toward success.
My approach to goal setting with my clients is to work collaboratively to define and set goals that can be achieved during our time together. This often begins with getting to know your story, defining what you want help with the most, and what you want to achieve in your relationships and life.
During our first session together, we will spend most of the time getting to know your story and learning about how you have been feeling and doing recently. I will ask questions to define and clarify your experiences, individual and family strengths and needs and to learn about what you hope to gain from therapy.
