My therapeutic style is to show up as myself - as a real person. I'm a human too, and I know how hard it is. I'm not the type to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. My hope is that we build a relationship where you feel comfortable showing up as your whole self - ugly parts included. Trust me, I have them too. I pride myself on providing a non-judgmental and accepting space where you can cry, yell, laugh, scream, and do whatever else you need. I am trauma-informed and work primarily from a mindfulness-based and somatic orientation. I have received training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
My path to becoming a therapist started with my own struggles with anxiety, depression, and trauma - which led me to my own therapy, healing, and self-discovery. While you and I may not have experienced the same things in life, I believe that through my own suffering and subsequent healing I can be a more empathetic and understanding therapist.
While it can be difficult to look at ourselves, I believe that it is one of the most rewarding endeavors in life. I strongly believe in the power of psychotherapy to heal our deepest wounds and in turn allow us to reach our true potential. For those that are interested, I also enjoy working from a spiritual perspective and transpersonal model.
