Dr. Michael Epstein holds a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Forensic Psychology & Psychological Testing. He has over 10-years of experience conducting research, therapy, and psychological evaluations pertaining to trauma, violence, & interpersonal relationships. Prior to joining The Halliday Center, Dr. Epstein served as an Active Duty Naval Psychologist from 2012 through 2022, and is licensed in both California & Arizona. As a Naval Officer, Dr. Epstein created & co-facilitated the US Navy's inaugural Active Duty LGB Mental Health Group.
When working with clients, Dr. Epstein uses a cognitive behavioral approach in identifying maladaptive behaviors, diagnoses, & treatment planning. He believes that successful therapy is one in which the client and clinician work collaboratively to meet the goals of the individual.
