I primarily specialize in work with adults (18-50+), LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC (People of Color and Mixed racial identities) clients, identity issues, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, substance use/alcoholism, life transitions, career counseling, acute/chronic/complex trauma, sexual/romantic issues, gender and sexuality issues, couples counseling, and infidelity. o I also help clients suffering with passive suicidal ideation, self-esteem issues, negative self-talk, and self-sabotage. I believe my personality certainly comes through in therapy because I personalize my work with all my clients.
I believe authenticity and genuineness are crucial for the therapeutic experience and as such I do my best to ensure I have a fair mix of humor and seriousness with my work. While I am a professional, I like to breakdown rigid views of professional and allow the client to feel like they are talking to someone who hears them and can meet them where they are.
My personality allows me to relate to clients, admit where I might need to grow, and openness to allow for collaboration with my clients. I never perceive myself to be the teacher but rather the guide on the client’s journey.
