Hi there, my name is Michael Collins and I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, California. I work with adult and adolescent clients via Telehealth who are dealing with life transitions, depression, anxiety and/or Adult ADHD. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Attachment Therapy as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients chart a course towards a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
I have worked with many different types of clients from many different backgrounds: Adolescents, helping them to navigate the transition to adulthood as well as clients with Adult ADHD, helping them to develop tools that will support their success. Clients new to therapy, especially clients who have been told "You have to be crazy to go to a therapist."
Curiosity and active listening are my main therapeutic approaches. I have training in many modalities but I try to tailor interventions based on getting to know the client deeply while also helping them identify their dreams and goals for the future.
