I did not always understand what my plan was in life, but I knew that what I nurtured by nature was a gift that I could not allow to be in vein. Externally, I appeared well put together and as if I had it all, but in this journey called Life, I realized that internally some things were missing. In God’s image, we are created in three parts: mind, body, and spirit. When those three elements are not in intricate unity with one another an internal imbalance can exist. Currently, I am an LPC licensed in two states: Michigan and Wisconsin.

My ultimate goal is to help you in whatever way needed, and to guide you to personal heightened satisfaction, self-understanding and inner peace. Your goals are the driving force. We as individuals long to find personal fulfillment and success on our path. In our journey of life we hope to find what works best for each of us, in the healthiest way. I have been providing counseling and psychotherapy for over 30 years in the Metro Detroit area and our group practice spans across the state of Michigan. I enjoy working with clients of all ages - from young children thru to seniors. My areas of focus include Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bullying, Depression, Grief, Personality Challenges, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Alcohol and Drug Abuse. I received my early education in private parochial schools in India, and obtained a Masters in Child Development and Family Relationships. I taught undergraduate students in my university before moving to the U.S. where I obtained my Masters in Education. Following my desire to help others, I attended Wayne State University where I obtained my Masters in Clinical Social Work.

I have over 30 years professional experience as a licensed Master Social Worker addressing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress management, relationship difficulties and substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders. I specialize in working with children ages 9 and older and adults. I provide problem solving-based approaches that will help you achieve your goals quicker and more effectively. I am described as being compassionate, insightful, warm and caring. My goal is to help you reach your potential and live life to the fullest.

I have a special concern for women, parents struggling to meet the needs of their children, and members of the LGBTQ communities creating families of choice, dealing with coming out issues, struggling through gender transitioning, and reconciling their sexuality with their spiritual growth.

My goal is to help families to increase communication patterns to and develop strong bonds. Have over three decades of experience successfully helping parents and their children to decrease acting out behaviors, improve coping skills, and to increase their functioning. Help blended families with adjustment, relationship issues, and to resolve child management problems. Have a vast amount amount of experience working with individuals to help them reduce depression, anxiety, and to increase their ability to manage daily stressors successfully. My strategy is to help clients let go the past and make their future more successful.

Although you know logically that your fears are irrational, you cannot stop them, and feelings of panic and dread take over your mind.
