My passion is working with women in their reproductive years who are pregnant, postpartum, experiencing infertility, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or are in need of support related to parenting and relationships. My patients are usually coming to therapy in need of a safe outlet to process their relationships, worries, decisions and past traumas. I enjoy walking alongside of my patients and helping them to reach the goals they have in mind when they begin the therapy process. I am trained and pursuing certification in EMDR to help support women who are experiencing trauma, or have past trauma they are looking to heal from.

Counseling is a sensitive process that can help individuals to gain insight, and a deeper understanding of their life, as well as achieve their personal goals. I have always had an interest in working with children and believe that despite their small size, their lives may be filled with big emotions that can be tough to handle. In working with children I believe it’s important to connect with them on their level, meeting them where they are and using their language of play to guide growth and healing.

Relational Life Therapist. Cross cultural therapist. I help couples (and other dyads) get to the source of their issues and learn how to create the relationship they long for. Some dyads that see me may be on the brink of relationship rupture and dissolution. Some may be stuck having the same arguments with the same lack of progress and feel like Sisyphus with his boulder. Some may be ahead of the game and seek therapy before they ruin a good thing. All of them want to learn healthy relationship habits that stick. The individual clients I see often struggle with spiritual questions, self acceptance, and/or relationships.

It is my hope that we can create a therapeutic relationship while working together to meet goals and strengthen personal development.
Everyone has their own unique paths in life. These paths may lead to unexpected turns, different destinations, or hit a few bumps along the way creating feelings of uncertainty. Such experiences and feelings of anxiety and uncertainty may lead us into uncharted territory, challenging us to overcome. Change is hard, and change can vastly impact our social, emotional, behavioral, and physiological responses. I strive to create an atmosphere of safety, acceptance, openness, trust, and respect.

I recognize the relationship between physical health and emotional well-being.
I enjoy working with a variety of clients. My training in marriage and family therapy has helped me to see the importance of knowing the context and history of a person's life. It is important to know each person's unique history and community. I believe that this self-knowledge help us find answers to our questions and new solutions. It is important to believe that our history does not determine our destiny.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
