With over 30 years of counseling experience, Michael is a Therapist and Clinical Sexologist holding dual Master's Degrees and a Ph.D.​ in Clinical Sexology, a Diplomate with the American Board of Sexology, and author, focusing on all aspects of intimacy and sexuality both for an individual and in relationship with other.

I am fascinated by the process of healing. To me, deep healing can begin when we have a safe place to tell our story. A place where we won't get interrupted, where someone won't try to "fix" us with their biases, where a genuine, caring person can give us the space to hear ourselves tell our story, to empathize with us, and to affirm us. I find people make the most significant strides in their journey toward healing when they evaluate alternatives and come to a reasoned conclusion themselves, without over-concern about what others think of them.

I have I have been in private practice for almost 30 years. I see clients ages five and up for individual, group, couples and family counseling. I specialize in substance abuse and my agency is licensed by the state of Michigan. I provide the full range of mental health counseling, substance abuse services, screening and assessments, DLAD evaluations, alcohol safety education courses and drug testing. I accept most insurances and provide a warm and safe counseling environment.
