I bring to those being served over 30 years of dedicated clinical experience from a variety of practice settings. Allow me to share practical and professional knowledge gleaned from well-known areas of service. Employment in the inpatient mental health treatment setting has provided me a good measure of expertise assisting those addressing a myriad of mental health challenges. I bring expertise in dual diagnosis treatment of multiple chemical abuse and dependence. I have provided mental health treatment of returning citizens from various states of incarceration who may require re-adjustment and re-integration into society.

I have been in private clinical practice for 22 years. I have specifically trained to work with children, adolescents, young adults and older adults. My time is spent fairly equally working with mental health and substance abuse issues. Likewise, I have chosen to not focus on one specific age group, finding it to be more satisfying to see various aged people. I spend the most time with young adults, from ages of 16-26. I enjoy working with couples; though challenging, I can often offer a safe place for them to listen to one another.

I conceptualize people's lives as being like a recipe. If you (or I) put the ingredients into the bowl, we get a predictable final product- either good, bad or mixed. If you work with me we will figure out the good and the bad ingredients of your recipe. Some ingredients are beyond your control, some are not. We will then figure out how you can keep the bad ingredients out and the good ingredients in your life. What do you want your life to look like? Are you willing to pay the price to achieve that recipe?

I am Adam C. Philo, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. I am a trained EMDR therapist. My areas of experience include substance abuse and dual diagnosis (CAADC), depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger management, divorce, work-related stress, play therapy, school-related issues, and trauma/post traumatic stress disorder. I have been practicing since 1999.

I have been in practice for over 40 years and I believe that I am successful in making most clients feel comfortable and listened to. I have extensive training in psychotherapy and my therapeutic approach is practical and supportive; I am active, compassionate and able to engage the client in the therapeutic process. I try to meet the person where they are at and tailor a therapeutic approach that meets their needs. I have found that deep and genuine emotional understanding and insight translates into real and lasting behavioral change.

Stacey earned a Bachelors Degree in Addictions Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan in 2015 and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 2019. Stacey’s clinical experience includes substance use, dual-diagnosis, juvenile justice, community violence, co-dependency, and attachment styles. Stacey has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I received my Master’s of Social Work from Michigan State University in 2016 and have experience in the residential and community mental health settings. As an LMSW with several years of experience, I have developed a balanced, relationship-driven, and creative approach to working with individuals and families from diverse populations. I have extensive experience working with children, adults, and families with various concerns including mood disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, and dual diagnosis.
