Currently accepting new clients for in-person and telehealth appointments. Hard times happen to us all. When we are carrying the weight of a loss, trying to manage the persistent distress of anxiety or depression, or going through a difficult time of life, it can feel like we are all alone. When the difficult days seem to overshadow the positive aspects of our lives, it can be a relief to know that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. These are the times we need support, today more than ever.

I specialize in providing counseling to helping those battling anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relationship problems.
Give me a chance at letting me be a LIGHT for YOU! Can I help you to feel happy again? Can I be a listening ear to help you work through the feelings you are faced with? Can we walk together as you transition to the next chapter of your life? These are real questions that I have been able to help patients like you answer. Beginning counseling is a courageous step that one takes, and I celebrate you for taking the courage to act on this leap of faith. During our counseling sessions, I will strive to work with you on trying to find hope and peace in the midst of pain, sadness, unhappiness, and fear.

Among my areas of expertise are anxiety, grief and loss, depression, women's issues, interpersonal relationship problems, and trauma including post-traumatic stress disorder.
Does it feel like you are losing control? You feel anxious and cannot stop the fears. These overwhelming thoughts can interrupt your ability to live your best life. Issues can come into our lives, at any time, without warning, devasting and catching us off guard. Choosing to begin therapy shows incredible inner strength and a desire to invest in yourself.

It's hard being human. We don't come with an owner's manual and no one really knows what it's like to live our lives. There's no certain formula for how to be happy. Often we don't know what we want, or sometimes even who we truly want to be. We just know: "I want to feel better." Being our own unique person in the world we live in is incredibly messy and immensely complicated, and everyone gets stuck sometimes. Many things can cause us to get stuck like life events, grief and loss, trauma, issues in relationships, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and even being LGBTQ+ or neurodiverse in a neurotypical heteronormative world.

Grief, anxiety*, panic disorder*, depression, marriage issues, relationship issues, OCD*, chronic illness, trauma*, PTSD*, compulsive behaviors*, compulsive thoughts*, life changing events, job related stress and goal setting are dealt with in a confidential environment.
We are all unique, but the truth is, all of us face challenges and difficulties at different points in our lives. Some difficulties are painful and yet other difficulties seem more "chronic" and "just get in the way of us being the best we can be". Whatever the case is for you, my goal is to partner with you, listen to you, and work together to identify the best strategies and concrete tools for you, to get you where you want to be.

Victoria completed her Internship addressing grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Clients who seek therapy are interested in healing and moving forward with a more positive approach to life. Issues can improve by addressing boundaries, insecure attachment, trauma responses that can leave you feeling defeated and alone. In therapy you are able to address goals, feel safe, and utilze various techniques with a professional who makes you accountable. My favoirite is the power of prayer and if you believe you will recieve blessings. Some times in therapy it can begin with forgiveness, just forgive yourself or others and it will set you free. Positive approach and Solution Focused is where it all begins.

Intervention with anxiety & depression, grief & loss, LGBTQ Issues, and abuse & neglect are just some of the areas in which we treat.
My vision began several years ago when I realized that most counseling agencies tend to concentrate on only one aspect of wellbeing, "Mental Health". Many people seeking whole body wellness are forced to travel to multiple providers to gain the full experience. Why not have one agency that meets the multiple aspect in achieving the "Whole Body Wellness" concept? I truly believe that maximizing personal wellbeing is dependent on the emotional, physical and spiritual health of every individual. I am proud to provide the surrounding community with a comprehensive clinic that addresses whole body wellness.

I use an integrated approach tailoring different therapeutic theories and tools to the specific needs of my individual clients. Starting therapy often feels intimidating, uncomfortable and vulnerable. I understand this and offer a non-judgemental and validating space to process your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My clients have described me as easy to talk to, authentic, and validating. I help clients to explore past ways they've coped and survived, the inherent strengths they already have within them, and to identify patterns they might not be aware of. I practice and preach self-compassion and acceptance.

In spite of the challenges we face in life, our inner strength and ability to heal stays with us. Since 1997, I have been helping families create happier lives by working with individuals to obtain mood stability, challenge distorted thoughts, and overcome maladaptive behaviors
In the past 15 years I have focused my practice on the treatment of Anxiety. 1 in 8 people suffer with anxiety. It affects children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. If left untreated the symptoms only worsen over time.
Please refer to my website to learn more about anxiety and how it manifests itself across all stages of human development.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
