I have been working with children, adolescents, and young adults in school and outpatient settings since 2007. Currently, I primarily work with children through middle adulthood in therapy and also provide psychological assessment for all ages. My adolescent and adult therapy clients are seeking help with ongoing mood issues or intrusive thoughts. They want to gain perspective and learn skills to reduce out of proportion emotional responses. Younger clients may struggle with mood dysregulation or behavioral issues and their parents want effective tools to use in daily life and perspective on their child's behavior.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 13 years of experience working with individuals suffering from substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and various other challenges that life can often present us with. While my training includes many therapeutic approaches informed by research, I see therapy most of all as a process that unfolds with building a genuine relationship. I believe each individual has a deeper wisdom within themselves. Therapy can be a way to tap into one's personal wisdom, strength, and healing. My approach is warm, inviting, and collaborative.

This journey of life tends to have many twists and turns in the road. Some harder to navigate than others and each bringing their own challenges. My hope is to be a guide, somebody to help process these situations so that you feel you are able to better navigate them in ways that may bring more positive outcomes. Speaking to someone about life’s difficulties can sometimes be challenging, and mental health concerns can often bring with them a stigma. I like to create a safe space and environment that is free from judgement and allows processing and discussing ways forward through these challenges.

When a person chooses to participate in counseling I see this as a brave step in investing in yourself in a positive way. I am honored to partner with each person in their journey of healing, self-acceptance, understanding, and growth. We will work together to identify what is important to you to focus on, and the steps to take to pursue the goals you have identified using a holistic approach to treatment. I believe it is important to care for the whole self: physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

I believe that every person who is seeking therapy has already taken the first step toward positive change. This is often the most difficult step of the healing process. My first goal is to listen well and to seek to understand you. While my training includes many therapeutic approaches informed by research, I see therapy most of all as a process that unfolds with building a genuine relationship. I seek to find strengths within each person and assist them in building upon those strengths within therapy.

I work with college students, professionals, parents, and couples. Specifically, people needing support in their relationships or careers. I use a relational approach that is grounded in empathy. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals and couples can explore their emotions, experiences, and relationships. I believe in the power of personal understanding as a catalyst for positive change and am committed to guiding my clients on their journey towards greater self-awareness and fulfillment. Everyone is deserving of compassion and care - and from that place, insight and change emerges.

I work with clients who are ready for change and growth in their life. Some areas that my clients work on are relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, communication, and depression. I believe that people are capable of making change in their own lives, but that the therapist-client relationship can provide the support that people need to do so.

It is always a privilege to walk alongside someone on their journey of healing and growth and to be able to hold space for them where they can feel seen, heard and valued. Whether you come with symptoms of anxiety or depression, or have experienced a traumatic event that needs a safe place to be processed, our time together can provide a means of care and support as you find your way forward. I believe that healing takes place within authentic, honest relationships where we are reminded that we are never alone. I also believe that it's possible to live a full and meaningful life, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

I love working with teens, young adults, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. There are so many changes taking place during these stages of life and it can feel overwhelming and scary at times. I love working with people as they work through these transitions, find themselves, and become more confident and self compassionate.

Maybe you feel yourself start to close off when someone asks how you're doing, because you don't really know the answer. Maybe you're a parent, who doesn't recognize who your teen has become. Maybe your partner doesn't feel like your partner, this relationship doesn't look like how you envisioned it would anymore. Maybe depression, guilt, or shame have become so familiar, that you wonder what therapy would even do. Maybe you just want to be known by someone.
