Hi, I’m Lisa. I am a LMSW certified to provide clinical therapy, counseling, and mental health services in-person and virtually. I offer a non-judgmental, fully present approach to therapy designed to meet individual needs for adults of all ages. Our life experiences can at times leave us feeling confused, unhappy, overwhelmed, lost, lonely, scared, or just wondering where to start. Therapy can help us navigate such challenges in healthy and meaningful ways.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) providing counseling in-person and virtual (telehealth, phone). I joined Inspire Counseling and Wellness as a clinician in 2023 after spending the majority of my career at Community Mental Health of Central Michigan. I have also spent time as a school social worker, assessing students with emotional impairments, Autism, and ADD/ADHD. I am Trauma Certified and have experience working with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, and grief.

Oftentimes, reactive behaviors are learned in early childhood as a defense mechanism. You learned certain actions will keep the physical and emotional pain away. However, you are not a child anymore and you are noticing how those learned actions are now negatively impacting you.

I have been working in the field of Social Work/Mental Health since 2011. I find that often times (not always) people develop symptoms related to anxiety, depression, anger & other behavioral issues because of how they have learned to respond to and survive through traumas and adverse life experiences.

I'm passionate about helping others. I went back to school in my 40's to do just that. I’ve had years of professional experience in assisting others including being certified alcohol and drug counselor, prior to my training in mental health counseling. I'm now an LLPC and CADC and have been counseling for the past 8 years. Clients will have an opportunity to de-stress and find their best self when working with me. My style is conversational and solution focused. I work hard to alleviate any anticipated discomfort of counseling. I work with BCBS, Priority Health some Medicaid plans and private pay clients.
