Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Masters level Social Worker (LMSW) based in MIchigan. I received my master's degree from Wayne State University, and I have been practicing for 20 years. I have worked in a school system in the initial part of my career, and I also worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health departments. over the years I have helped improve the lives of adults and children struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, disabilities, sever mental illness among many other challenges.

I am an LMFT who is very passionate about serving the BIPOC and Muslim communities. Especially given my cultural background as the daughter of Lebanese immigrants, I am interested in making mental health services more accessible and catered towards diverse cultural backgrounds. I also speak Arabic fluently and have experience conducting therapy in Arabic. I have extensive experience in working with women, adolescents, children, and families.

I am passionate about working collaboratively with a diverse population of individuals through a social justice, anti-colonial, and anti-capitalist lens. I have experience with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, grief, sexual and gender identity, child behavioral issues, social anxiety, and couples issues. As a bi-lingual (English & Arabic) woman of Middle Eastern background, I understand the challenge multiple layers of identity has on mental health. Using a culturally sensitive approach, I enjoy working with underrepresented minorities, especially those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community.

I am a Wayne State graduate with a Master's degree in Social Work and a Major in Family & Couples concerns. I have several years of child welfare experience and have been working with children and adults as a therapist for over 10 years. I've worked in school settings and have been trained in the areas of grief, loss, trauma and crisis intervention. In addition to my passion for working with children and families, I'm successful in building positive therapeutic relationships with adult clients.
