As a Clinical Associate of Behavioral Health Consultants, LLC I seek to improve day-to-day functioning by addressing psychosocial barriers and specific dynamics that necessitate therapeutic intervention. My professional experience has allowed me to gain insight and tools to actively engage and assist various populations of the community. These populations include but are not limited to: youth who are receiving treatment in foster care, youth adjudicated of various offenses as well as youth dealing with everyday life issues.

My mission is to help clients learn new strategies for coping with grief, anxiety, depression, job and relationship issues and provide them with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps people identify their distressing thoughts and evaluate how realistic the thoughts are. Through CBT, clients can learn to change their distorted thinking. When they think more realistically, they can begin to feel better. The emphasis is also consistently on solving problems and initiating behavioral changes. My experience includes in-patient and out-patient psychiatry, community mental health, schools, and courts with a diverse range of people.

We all have the capacity for emotional healing. My role is to help each client overcome their own barriers and foster their own path to inner healing. As both a young girl and woman, I experienced my own emotional struggles and I know what it is like to feel hopeless and lost. Connection and feeling safe in therapy is vital before any changes can occur. Ensuring that clients feel comfortable expressing their innermost thoughts and feelings is my first priority. Treatment is tailored to each individual client. Therefore, I will use varied approaches until we find your best fit.
