I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I completed my doctorate in school and clinical child psychology at Yeshiva University/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. My work has focused primarily on children, adolescents and families. I have experience working in therapeutic schools, hospitals and outpatient clinics. I also spent years working in sleep research. I am trained in evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents with a variety of presenting concerns.

All of our feelings are normal but sometimes we feel them more intense and they might even make our day to day lives extra challenging (anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress.. sound familiar?) I also understand that learning differences impact the development of all individuals whether their differences result in the need for special education or gifted programming. My unique background not only includes training and experience working with individuals on their psychological needs, but also includes a strong background in Sensory Processing Dysfunction.

Shelley Bultje LMSW received her undergraduate and Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She has experience working with children, adolescence, and families on an array of diagnoses and difficulties. Her specialties include working with transitional age youth (i.e. teens/young adults) and survivors of trauma. Shelley is passionate and devoted to working with young people, helping them feel empowered as they navigate through a critical and challenging stage of development.

I am a fully licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I strive to provide a safe and confidential environment in which to explore and discuss the thoughts and feelings that limit your ability to live the life you aspire to. Utilizing a variety of therapies including CBT, dynamic and solution-focused techniques, I will collaborate with you to set and achieve goals based upon your individual circumstances and needs.

Kristin has a wide array of experience and is a highly regarded and knowledgeable clinician. She works with children, youth, and families using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each client and family. She's been providing high-quality services for over 10 years. Kristin assists clients coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and sexual trauma. She utilizes a blend of Solution Focused and Client Centered Therapy while also incorporating elements of DBT and CBT. These advanced methods promote healing and desired change in a unique, gentle and respectful manner.

I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families. In addition, I am a certified EMDR therapist working with all ages. My career has focused on supporting children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds with issues related to learning difficulties, attachment disorders, sensory integration disorders, adolescent issues and anxiety. As a result I have a wealth of experience in assessment, Autism, ADHD, crisis management, depression, divorce, family and parenting issues, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, positive behavior support and modification, problem solving, and stress reduction and management.

I believe it is just as important to figure out what is going right, and that is why we will work on two things: 1.) Lessening you or your child's suffering, and 2.) Many of us experience problems in living from time to time, as we manage our intimate relationships, careers, children, financial burdens etc…. Often times, these problems can lead to feeling poorly about oneself or even to feelings of hopelessness or helplessness. Sometimes, these problems reach a magnitude where our level of distress or ability to function is affected. At these times, it can be very helpful to talk to a professional who can provide insight, support and perspective on these difficult issues. Although your issues may seem unmanageable to you now, with the right help, these problems can be overcome.

I specialize in generalized anxiety, major depression, PTSD, trauma, sexualtiy and/or gender exploration. Regardless of your cultural needs and expectations I will offer you the support and safe space needed for seeking treatment. For clinicians in the field working on full clinical lisencure. I also am a Supervisor for LMSW licensure both Group and Individial hours needed and offer a study group for the exam exclusively twice a month on Sundays.

Early childhood is a dynamic and transitional time that can feel simultaneously joyous and chaotic (for both the child and the parent!). Children sometimes experience a myriad of big feelings that feel difficult to cope with - here at Rise, we aim to provide support, skills, and resources to help you and your child navigate the challenges. Rackham Institute's (MARI) University Center for the Child and Family (UCCF) offers compassionate, evidence-based, confidential, and culturally humble mental health treatment and testing for children, adolescents, teens, and their families. We serve U-M affiliated families and the local and broader Michigan community. UCCF has a multi-disciplinary staff of psychologists, social workers, a psychiatrist, BCBAs, a speech-language pathologist, and advanced level clinicians-in-training. We are deeply invested in the overall growth and well-being of our diverse clientele. Common presenting concerns include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, parenting management, relationship challenges, grief/loss, testing/evaluation, and behavioral concerns. Our facility was designed with families in mind; our waiting room includes a play room for children, diaper changing stations in all of our restrooms, and child care may be available during appointments depending on U-M student staffing availability.
