I am a clinical psychologist and have been practicing for over 30 years. Specialities include posttraumatic stress disorder, issues of grief and loss, self-esteem and personal confidence, and anxiety disorders. In addition, I enjoy treating adjustment disorders related to: career, retirement or job change, college, divorce, and the general milestones we encounter throughout the life cycle. My therapeutic style is mainly cognitive behavioral and relationship oriented. I work with all ages and treat individuals, couples, and families.

I believe the purpose of counseling is for individuals to tap into their inner knowing, develop a deeper understanding of their true selves, identify the life experiences that contribute to present day problems, and to move forward in the most authentic way possible. I serve as a guide who supports my clients in the process of finding their own answers and taking responsibility for creating solutions and action in their life. I work with individuals, couples, and all age groups.

I have worked with teens and adults with the Ingham County Health Department for over 25 years.Dealing with truancy issues, relationship challenges, sexual assault, sexual orientation, PTSD, depression and bipolar disorder.There always comes a time when an individual needs extra support in his/her life. Life circumstances can be overwhelming. But learning new skills to address these challenges, could help ease the process.

I have 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that are struggling with ADHD, past trauma, family conflict, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative Disorders, anxiety and depression.

I am not accepting new or returning clients. My primary modes of therapy include emotionally focused, attachment, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I practice being mindful of each client's uniqueness and customize the therapeutic encounter based on what is needed. I know this may change weekly, and I strive to be flexible enough to follow the client while providing a solid direction for change.
