My name is Kassie J. Weiland, I view therapy as a dynamic and evolving relationship. During my 30+ years working with youth and families, I’ve found my approach should be as unique as you are. You can expect me to be interactive, honest, and caring. Still, I will comfortably challenge you to talk about those issues holding you back and interfering in healing and becoming the person you want to be.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment. My approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the capacity for personal growth and healing, and I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers my clients to overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse clientele, including veterans, individuals undergoing court-ordered treatment, children, adults, and first responders.

As a therapist with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan, I am deeply passionate about creating meaningful change in the lives of my clients. With over a decade of experience in various roles within the human services and mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations facing homelessness, survivors of intimate partner abuse, older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those living below the poverty line. My commitment to social justice drives me to continually explore the impact of systemic structures on individual mental health.

Mental Health is important for your overall wellbeing. It is great that you exploring taking care of the most important person in your life “you”. Sometimes we get so busy that we can become our last priority. Knowing how hectic life can be , I also offer evening and weekend appointments.

I work with adults 18 and older. I am trained to work with anxiety, depression, trauma and nutrition for mental health. I use many different interventions and tools to assist in reduction of mental health symptoms. I also have experiences working with grief and loss, adjustment and borderline personality. I have over 14 years experience in mental health.

What brings you to my office? The answers to this question are as varied as are the people who seek counseling with me. You may have a problem or disappointment with your health, self-esteem/worth, relationships, school, work, mood, or boundaries. People reach out to me when, despite being very capable, they have not been able to get their lives on the course that they desire. I believe that the changes and healing you want to accomplish can be brought about by the combination of my skills, your knowledge of yourself, and the strong working relationship that we will establish together.

I offer individual, couples, and family therapy.

Tele-mental health therapy provides the means of reaching clients who might, otherwise, never seek treatment due to reasons such as having anxiety about entering a therapist's office, time factor or distance, illness, or continued need for social distancing. I utilize a HIPPA supported tele-health platform. Each allows clients to engage in secure and confidential telehealth appointments. Clients are granted access to private tele-mental health sessions while remaining inside the security and comfort of your home, or perhaps during the office lunch break. I offer weekday sessions, as well as limited evening and weekend appointments.
