I have gained valuable experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing various issues such as; anxiety, , grief, depression, trauma, identity issues, self-esteem issues, stress management, mindfulness and mood issues.
Therapy should be a safe space for people to emote and talk freely. That is what I strive to do in each of my sessions. I try my best to establish and progress toward client goals with them in a collaborative manner.

I have experience and I am very passionate about working with those within the adoption constellation, families, pregnant/postpartum, and those experiencing grief.
Hi- I’m so happy you’re here! Being human is not always easy, and, at times, navigating what life has to offer can feel complicated or overwhelming. Because of this, we all sometimes need some extra support, a listening-ear, or a safe space to just talk about everything and anything. I would love to work with you to build a safe, meaningful, and collaborative space to explore your thoughts and emotions while also helping you to develop new skills, understandings, and ways of healing.

My specializations include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, chronic illness and other disabilities, personality disorders, geriatric challenges, grief and loss, and substance use disorders.
When individuals are struggling with their mental health, substance use, or other life stresses they might not always know where to go for help. My job as a therapist is to provide you with a safe space where you can separate these ongoing challenges, feel less overwhelmed, and take control of your life. We will focus on setting realistic therapeutic goals, empowerment, and not letting these challenges define who you are as a person. By working together, we can achieve stabilization to envision how you want your life to be.

Everyone has the ability to learn, grow, and heal just like you. Therapy can be a guiding force throughout your journey. To help you understand and process all of life’s neverending changes. Changes that can manifest into intrusive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that lead to negative and self-destructive patterns. Patterns that can cause difficulty and disruption in different areas of your life. Potentially leading to unmanaged symptoms of anxiety, depressions, trauma, and grief. Therapy can be difficult, but every individual and family possess the ability to learn, grow, and heal

Whether dealing with the effects of trauma, a loss, struggling with anxiety or depression, or coping with a life transition, it can help to explore concerns in a safe and supportive environment. I believe that a therapist’s role is to be a listening ear, provide feedback, offer support, and provide resources as clients explore their concerns, identify solutions, and develop plans of action that best fit their chosen life journeys.

Your emotions, grief, and experiences are so real and so valid.
People often describe navigating infertility or pregnancy loss as one of the worst things they have ever experienced. You might be trying to cope with complex emotions of feeling overwhelmed, angry, bitter, or even confused by the journey you're navigating. Maybe you've tried talking to your friends & family; only to be met with comments of being told to "stop thinking about it so much", "I'm sure it will work out" or any phrase that begins with "at least" and end up feeling more isolated than you did before.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
