I have experience with ADHD and Autism, specializing in high-masking, late-diagnosed trauma.
I know what it's like to feel lost, confused, and as though you're stuck at a crossroads with no directions. I also know how important connection and understanding are in those times. I believe the beauty of therapy is how it can disentangle the confusion, revealing profound change, empowerment, and freedom. I can work with individuals or couples encountering a variety of concerns. I am particularly experienced to help clients navigating through relationship issues such as codependency, boundaries, infidelity, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I am drawn to help women recovering from abusive relationships and trauma.

I primarily use tools from cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness in working with substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger management, ADHD/impulse control, and life transitions.
Life is a journey with many twists and turns. Along the way we experience some good things and some not so good things, but all life experiences make up who we are in this very moment. Everyone deserves to be able to tell their story and to be heard. I’m here to help support my clients so they have a voice and can determine their own life direction and meaning.

I specialize in anxiety, trauma and ADHD.
Life’s intense challenges can be overwhelming to deal with on your own. You may fear that acknowledging certain issues or feelings will overwhelm you. Many of us have learned that in order to be accepted, we must suppress our true feelings. This suppression of our real feelings, experiences, challenges may influence our behavior in unpredictable and negative ways and leave us feeling isolated, hopeless and alone. No matter what you’re feeling or facing, you are not alone and there is hope. Working with a skilled therapist leads to healing and growth.

As someone who was late diagnosed with ADHD, I get how exhausting it is to feel like you’re constantly trying to keep it all together. I specialize in working with women who are juggling emotional ups and downs, perfectionism, and the lasting impact of childhood trauma and narcissistic abuse. My approach uses EMDR to help process the heavy stuff—old wounds, messy feelings, and stuck patterns. This is a space where you can put down the mask, explore what’s really going on, and start finding your way back to yourself with compassion and support.

Perhaps you have a new diagnosis of ADHD or Autism, and want to know what it means for your future. Perhaps you suspect you are neurodivergent, but aren’t sure how to proceed. Perhaps you want to show up more authentically; you want to learn to stop masking your autism, for example, or present as the gender you align with, but want support and guidance through the conflicts that could arise. Perhaps you just want to stop feeling like your own worst enemy.

I believe it’s vital to support and encourage individuals going through hard times or transitioning in life. Everyone has goals and struggles that are unique to them, but for the most part, everyone just wants to feel better each day and to find ways to safely cope on the days where they don't feel so great. As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD at an early age, I am passionate about helping others dealing with ADHD, especially women who were diagnosed as adults. I also enjoy working with individuals dealing with anxiety or depression, LGBTQIA+ folks, new parents, and people who just need to talk with someone.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
