I help individuals learn about themselves and get more of an understanding of why they feel what they feel. Working with an individual to establish what and why when solving a particular problem should be a collaborative effort. I empower the individual by helping them realize that they do have the tools to be able to handle what life throws at them. We may not be able to control the world around us but we are in control of our own decisions and how we react.

I have over 21 years of experience providing psychotherapy, as well as considerable experience prior to obtaining my Masters.

I am a licensed psychologist as well as the clinical director of Sollars and Associates Integrative Counseling and Psychological Services. I have been providing counseling and psychotherapy for over 30 years in the Metro Detroit area and our group practice spans across the state of Michigan. With support, encouragement, and expert insight many people begin to feel better after their first session. Our therapists possess a great deal of experience in evaluating and working with children, adolescents, and families dealing with a variety of issues.

I believe that we as people were created for growth and for connection. There is health and healing for those who want to work through trauma and loss. I seek to support you as you discover and build on the strengths you already have. I have been a therapist since 2003 and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that everyone needs someone to talk to. We all have feelings, whether we feel happy, excited, anxious, worried, nervous, sad or depressed—we need to get those feelings off our chest. Another thing I’ve learned over the years is keeping those feelings bottled up inside can and will make us sick. Why is something as simple as getting things off our chest so difficult to do? I believe it’s because of our pride and fear of judgment about our feelings. As a therapist, I truly strive to allow people to speak freely in a safe environment.
