I also see individuals with body image issues, depression, stress, grief and loss, divorce adjustment, relationship, parenting issues, women's issues, and behavior management. Hi! I’m a virtual therapist with openings this week! I grew up in a multicultural household where being the firstborn Mexican female held a lot of expectations and responsibilities, oftentimes, with little emotional support. While I identify as Mexican, I’m not fluent in Spanish. I know it can be difficult to seek services, but if you’re looking for guidance or a place to vent, you’ve found the right person. I create a safe and comforting space for all of my clients that allows them to talk about various topics without judgement. When I'm not working, I enjoy gaming with friends and reading. While we work together, my cat may visit!

I practice Integrative Psychotherapy, which incorporates all aspects of the person in the change process. Many people who seek counseling do so as a result of experiencing a problem that they cannot resolve on their own. This creates difficulties in moods, behaviors, and relationships as that problem begins to drain their energy and attention. My goal is to assist you in re-connecting with a sense of balance, or integration, in your life.

Healing depression and anxiety, along with the other struggles that often times accompany depression and anxiety, such as, relationship concerns, codependency, people pleasing, perfectionism, emotional eating, emotional shopping, role(s) overload, fatigue, stress and/or unresolved trauma, grief and loss.
Are you feeling depleted, depressed? Overwhelmed, anxious? Or, dissatisfied with your relationships? And longing for more relational connection and love? Do you feel overstressed, overworked and unappreciated? Struggling with not feeling good enough, no matter how hard you try? If you answered "Yes" to any or all of the above, you are not alone. Individuals often enter therapy because they are struggling with these types of concerns. We all thrive and heal best in an environment in which we feel emotionally safe, nurtured, listened to and accepted. I value creating these healing qualities within our therapeutic relationship and work together.

My greatest privilege is helping people find healing and wholeness as they work through the negative effects woundedness and loss has had on their lives. I have 15 years of therapy experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, life transitions, grief, parenting, sexuality, spirituality, destructive relationships, and attachment issues – to name a few.
I am so glad you are here. However you arrived here, I hope this space becomes a soft landing. Because pain often stems from relationships – I believe the best place to heal is within a safe, non-judgmental relationship where we together offer love and compassion to the points of rupture. As you connect with the complexities of your story, I would be honored to hold space with you.

With experience in a wide variety of treatment modalities, some of my areas of interest include psychological trauma, grief/ loss, families and relationships, and stage of life issues.
As a therapist with nearly 30 years of clinical experience, my role is to act as a guide and support to those who seek to make changes. I understand that finding and starting with a healthcare provider can be overwhelming. When I am seeking new providers for my healthcare, I expect them to show compassion and respect and to both listen and hear. Since I value that as a consumer, it is important that I show that as a provider.

Maybe you're feeling depressed or numb, overwhelmed by anxiety, grieving a loss, trapped in unhealthy cyclical patterns, struggling in relationships, or battling with the effects of traumatic experiences.
Life can be messy, unpredictable, wonderful, and fragile. It can also be overwhelming, so I value opportunities to slow down and listen to our bodies, emotions, and needs. Therapy is a space where you can do that - and not do it alone. We can explore all of your life's extremes and constants, as well as the potential extremes and constants of yourself. I’m here to offer an empathetic, non-judgmental, safe space for you to notice, explore, and dive into parts of yourself that may have been left unheard, stuck in the past, or difficult to face in the present.

Treating insecure attachment can bring about resolution to unresolved grief & loss, childhood trauma, and/or complex PTSD.
It takes a lot of strength for you to reach out when you are in a time of need, and it says a lot about you that you are seeking support. If you choose to work with me, I promise to be patient as you address the challenges in your life. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps individuals understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. CBT teaches individuals to change negative patterns of thinking to more positive and helpful thoughts and is one of the most researched forms of therapy. It is evidence-based and has proven to be effective for a variety of mental health issues.

I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, grief, and general difficult life experiences.
My own life experience and six years of non-profit work helped me realize my passion for helping people thrive in life. Many of us deal with difficulties in life that seem unchangeable and heartbreaking. I provide an un-biased, caring environment for clients to grow and learn healthy ways to process these difficulties. Thriving can mean different things to different people. I view counseling as a gentle process that allows clients to learn what thriving means for them.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
