I provide a non-judgmental and warm space where you can navigate issues coming up. I became a therapist after lived (family) experience with neurodivergence, complex trauma, PTSD, and chronic illness.
Do you ever think how your life could be different... in a parallel universe? It can be different here and now. We just need to better understand ourselves, how we got this way, and what we want to change. Therapy helps give us insight by revealing patterns of behavior, emotions, somatic (body) sensations, and assumptions. If you struggle with trauma, difficult relationships, obsessive thoughts, or self-doubt, I can help you to find your voice and reduce internal conflicts. I work with adults and adolescents with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also work with high-conflict couples.

I utilize an integrated, whole-person and trauma-focused therapeutic approach in effort to create space for healing from the adverse life experiences that often interfere with our daily lives.
Trauma can be defined as manifestations in both mind and body, stemming from either an isolated painful experience or a recurring theme of painful events over the course of one’s life.

I offer EMDR, Somatic/IFS therapy, Art exercises, and trauma focused reintegration.
You are a high achiever with perfectionistic tendencies and often feel overwhelmed by your thoughts or feelings, avoiding them is easier but may not be working anymore. You may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, depersonalization, ADHD, chronic pain, OCD, overwhelm, or desire increased self-care and self-esteem. Relationships often feel challenging, causing you to question if you do in fact deserve meaningful connections with others. You yearn for deeper connections, however, may be uncertain where to begin. You question if the fragments of your past came together, perhaps your story would feel more complete.

I and my colleagues at the Institute for Hope and Human Flourishing understand that living with trauma, depression or anxiety, or having thoughts of suicide, means that a person is in a lot of pain and it's hard to see through the pain to find solutions that might help.
Sometimes life is so painful that even remembering reasons to stay alive can be very difficult. Life situations, such as grief or traumatic events, can cause day to day functioning to feel insurmountable. Finding coping skills and solutions happens when you have the freedom to talk about anxiety, grief, depression, trauma and suicide with the help of a skilled clinician who is comfortable working with it all -- and who understands, when working with youth, the importance of coaching parents so that they feel prepared to help their child through an emotionally difficult time.

My training includes a focus on families and children, trauma, and psychological assessment.
I love to work with people of all ages, but I have a passion for working with children and young adults. While we are not born with the emotional skills and knowledge needed to navigate life and form lasting relationships, they are crucial to our happiness. Whether learning basic coping skills or exploring more complex mental health issues, my clients all share a common goal: improving their day-to-day lives.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
