The individuals, couples, and families with whom I work are interested in understanding and addressing not only certain specific emergent problems such as those associated with adjustment and relationship difficulties, depression, and anxiety, but also the underlying thoughts, feelings, and behavioral and relational patterns that have contributed to the development of these problems. Through a collaborative, empathic, psychotherapeutic process, these individuals, couples, and families expand and utilize their skills, strengths, and self-understanding in order to live more meaningful and rewarding lives.

I believe that most behavioral/ emotional problems have a common origin which is the failure to express true emotions and feelings. Individuals learn early on that which is acceptable and that which is not. As we push away feelings, and deny parts of who we are, these feelings don't simply disappear; instead, they remain hidden, and continue to influence behavior in unpredictable and negative ways. Because of this commonality in most problems, I welcome people who have problems with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship problems, sexual concerns, and addictive behaviors.

I specialize in supporting adults with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, and sexual concerns.
I believe there is a resiliency that lies within each and every one of us. That strength is what gets us through each situation – even when we thought, “There’s no way I am going to make it through.” However, there are times when things can become overwhelming, and we need someone to listen, and encourage us as we navigate through the difficult situations life throws at us. No matter what brings you to therapy know that it will be a place for you to find healing and a realization of the resilience that already lies within you.

I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing issues relating to trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship dynamics by implementing interventions from Emotionally-Focused, Acceptance Commitment, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic, and Sensorimotor Therapies.
Have you ever felt stuck in the same cycle over and over no matter how hard you try to break away? These type of patterns can often make it feel impossible to stay connected, be at peace, and thrive. I want you to know there is hope. Together we can explore how past patterns and trauma affect the present while building on your strengths to manifest a feeling of inner strength and freedom. I value creating an affirming therapeutic space where clients of LGBTQ+ identities, kink/sex-positive practices, and polyamorous relationships are safe and welcomed.

I provide a safe non-judgmental space to unpack the complexity of your experience and develop deeper self-understanding, emotional regulation and relationship skills.
Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Compulsions, Obsessions, Stagnation, Rage, Fear, Going Numb – are all attempts to communicate misalignment somewhere within the system. These defense mechanisms can be soothing in the short-term but can become obstacles to further self-development and long-term health if their messages are not understood. If we listen deeply and compassionately enough to the wisdom of our body and mind the previous obstacles to our wholeness can become the catalysts of deeper awareness, meaning, agency and personal fulfillment.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
