Hello, my name is Amy Harbison. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in childhood trauma and family counseling. If you or your loved one is experiencing distress in their relationships or if past traumatic experiences are stealing your joy, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey. The desire to see strong families and healthy relationships are two of the primary reasons I chose to pursue a career in clinical social work. The parent child relationship is the first one in which we learn who we are to others and where our sense of value and worth begins to form.

I am a Registered Art Therapist, Perinatal Mental Health Certified and TF-CBT trained; foundations in trauma, attachment (2 years in Infant Mental Health) and family therapy (8 years).
A few daytime openings are available! It's so hard on our bodies and minds to be pregnant, give birth or endure loss yet we're expected to carry on with our lives like usual. People that haven't experienced the physical complications and distressing symptoms can't relate. Talking about our "stuff" is uncomfortable because we often feel shame or guilt as we think we should be grateful or we're not feeling good enough. Pregnancy and postpartum is unlike any other journey; sharing our bodies with another human is hard, being a new mom is hard, loss/change is hard! Remember, you are not alone and with help you can be well.

My heart is in working with adults specializing in infertility, reproductive trauma, pregnancy loss, adjustment to pregnancy/ postpartum, and adjustment to living childfree because of circumstance.
People often describe navigating infertility or pregnancy loss as one of the worst things they have ever experienced. You might be trying to cope with complex emotions of feeling overwhelmed, angry, bitter, or even confused by the journey you're navigating. Maybe you've tried talking to your friends & family; only to be met with comments of being told to "stop thinking about it so much", "I'm sure it will work out" or any phrase that begins with "at least" and end up feeling more isolated than you did before. Your emotions, grief, and experiences are so real and so valid.

My “go to” areas of sex therapy are low libido, dyspareunia (pain during sex), difference in desire, perinatal & postnatal ( postpartum) disorders.
Hi, I’m Audrey. I’m an AASECT certified sex therapist. Before you read anymore, I want you to know that you are seen, you are valued, and you are important. My assumption is you may feel anxious, alone, curious, frustrated, confused or some of all those things (or none- that’s okay too). I provide a safe space for you to feel brave on your path towards awareness & growth through an empowering therapeutic relationship. It’s a privilege for me to walk alongside you, whether you are an individual or couple.

Your experiences, thoughts, and struggles are unique to you and so are your gifts, joys, and perspectives. Developing awareness around how your circumstances influence who you are helps you gain clarity and allows you to write future chapters of your life with intention. Counseling is a space to be seen without judgment and safely explore what it might look like to live into a future of intentionality and purpose. Pursuing your full, whole self is a gift you give not only to yourself but to those around you, and counseling is a great place to explore what that might look like.

Hey there, friends! I'm Cassie, a therapist passionate about helping kiddos and young adults tap into their true selves. My goal is to create a safe, warm space where we can work together to explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Therapy is all about the here and now, but we might also dig into pieces of the past if they’re affecting you today. I don’t believe anyone needs to be “fixed” because I’ll never view you as “broken.” Instead, we’ll identify those negative thought patterns and focus on strengthening your mindset so you can thrive.

I believe that counseling can be beneficial for any person in any stage of life you are in. Each person has his or her own individual story. My goal as a counselor is to listen and understand your story, while helping you figure out changes you'd like to make, and walk by you as you seek to make these changes. Together we will work towards YOUR desired outcome. Part of the joy I get from being a counselor is walking alongside people and their stories, and each person's story is so intricate. I have experience with clients with trauma, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.
When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.
How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
